Famous actor Paresh Rawal becomes the new president of the National School of Drama


new Delhi. Famous Bollywood actor and former BJP MP Paresh Rawal was made the president of the National School of Drama. President Ramnath Kovind has appointed Paresh Rawal as the chairman of NSD. He will replace the well-known Rajasthani poet Arjun Dev Charan. Union Minister of State for Culture Prahlad Singh Patel gave this information via Twitter on Thursday.


Giving information, Prahlada Patel tweeted, ‘Eminent artist Paresh Rawal has been appointed as President of NSD by His Majesty. Artists and students of the country will benefit from their talent. Heartiest congratulations.’

The official Twitter handle of the National School of Drama has also been tweeted and congratulated its new chairman. NSD tweeted, ‘We are happy to inform that the Honorable President has appointed Paresh Rawal, a well-known actor and conferred with Padma Shri, as Chairman of NSD. The NSD family welcomes this legend, to take NSD to new heights under his guidance.
