new Delhi. Director General of Border Security Force (BSF) Rakesh Asthana, who went on a three-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir, visited the Line of Control in Rajouri and Poonch sectors. During this, he warned the soldiers about the tricks of China and Pakistan. On Sunday, on the third day of his visit, the Director General emphasized on meeting the security challenges more effectively.
He told Jawan that, China and Pakistan are planning against us. We always have to be cautious about this. Let me tell you that, the army has operational command of 744 km long LoC, but BSF has also been deployed to assist. The official spokesman said, “On the third day of his visit on Sunday, Director General of Border Security Force Rakesh Asthana visited various places in Poonch and Rajouri sector and took stock of the situation. He was accompanied by ADG (WC) SS Panwar and IG BSF NS Jamwal.
The DG was informed by DIG ID Singh of Rajouri and field commanders posted on the LoC about the preparedness of the operation and the latest situation on the LoC. Appreciating the measures adopted by the troops while maintaining supremacy, the Director General emphasized on meeting the security challenges more effectively.
Given the excellent coordination between all security forces, the Director General appealed to all to maintain high levels of discipline and professionalism. He also addressed the military conference at BSF Paloura Camp Jammu and said that as Pakistan and China were planning against India, the role of BSF in protecting the borders became more important.
The spokesperson quoted the Director General as saying, “This is a very important time for all, as our two neighboring countries are planning against us. Therefore, our role has become more important now because we are the first line of Indian defense. ” He appreciated the vigilance of BSF jawans, who are always stationed in defense of the country.
