Prime Minister Modi will give his address on education policy and school education


new Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi (PM Narendra Modi) will address a gathering on the topic of school education in the 21st century through video conferencing on Friday under the National Education Policy – 2020 (NEP 2020). The Ministry of Education is organizing a two-day conference on 10 and 11 September as a part of the education festival. This program will be addressed by Prime Minister Modi. Earlier on 7 August, PM Modi gave the inaugural speech at the Transformational Reform Program in Higher Education under NEP-2020. PM Modi has also addressed the Conference of Governors on NEP-2020 on 7 September.

Giving official information, the Union Ministry of Education said, “NEP-2020 is the first education policy of the twenty-first century, which has been announced after 34 years of the last National Education Policy 1986. NEP-2020 directs major reforms at both the school and higher education levels.

The Ministry of Education said, the aim of the new National Education Policy is to make India a just and knowledge-based industrial society. It envisages implementing an India-centric education system, which will directly contribute to transforming the country into a global superpower. There is a talk of comprehensive reform of school education in the country in NEP-2020. Publication of Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) for children up to the age of 8 at the school level, transforming the 10 plus 2 structure of the school curriculum into a 5 plus 3 plus 3 plus 4 curriculum structure, 21st century skills, mathematical thinking and Integrating the curriculum of scientific trends, developing the new comprehensive national curriculum framework for schooling, formulating national professional standards for teachers, assessment improvement and 360 degree overall progress cards of the child, and professional integration since class 6 Emphasis is being laid on

Education festival is being celebrated from September 8 to September 25, 2020 to honor teachers and to pursue the new education policy 2020. Webinars, virtual conferences and gatherings are being organized on different aspects of the National Education Policy 2020 across the country.
