A medium avocado provides about 12 grams of fiber, which goes a long way toward meeting the recommended amount of 28 to 34 grams of fiber per day.
Avocado is also an energy-dense food, nutrient-dense, and contains important micronutrients that Americans do not eat in sufficient amounts, such as potassium and fiber.
